Snacks for afterschool are always in demand! Take some along as you pick up your kids yourself and have some ready when they arrive home! As a retired teacher and principal, I can tell you that healthy snacks are better for brainpower than fried or sugary munchies. And making them yourself is better for the budget! Many of these snacks can be frozen and picked up before the end of the school day.
Your kids don’t want to eat breakfast? Grab a few of these healthy snacks for your kids’ backpacks and they can munch on the way to school or in a snack break that most schools allow.
Pack the snacks away in zip lock bags or in small containers for ease of quickly snapping them up! Let me know which ones your kids like--and these are also great snacks for adults.
