Back to school time can be very busy for parents and educators alike.  Here are some links for easy recipes and tips already on our website.


Date Oat Bars: Energy Bites

Yield 7

1/2 cup water

2 cups pitted dates

2 c rolled oats


1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 teaspoon salt

Shredded coconut, opt

Chocolate chips, opt

Cranberries, opt


1. Put water into Vitamix or food processor. Add rest of ingredients. Mix well but leave some texture.  May have to stop and stir to put ingredients on bottom up to top.

2. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Take a 1/4 cup measure, spray with a vegetable spray and pack date-oat mixture into it. Take out and place on baking sheet. Continue with rest of mix.

3. Flatten out a bit with your hand and place the Date Oat Bars in your freezer in a freezer proof container or zip lock bag. May wrap individually in saran wrap for a lunchbox.
