Valentine's Day Maple Drizzled Heart Beets

Want a side dish that is creative and cute, simple and fast and accompanies any main course such as grilled steak, chicken or fish? Here is a perfect Valentine's Day choice. 


Heart cut your beets (or potatoes). Sprinkle on a little salt and pepper and fresh herbs such as thyme and rosemary, you have a meal that sends the right message to your loved one: My Heart Beets for You!  (OK--enough corny food puns!) Drizzle a little maple syrup on top to bring out the natural sweetness of the beets.
