FOOD ON-THE-GO: Easy to make, pack and eat!

Chili-thick, warm and filling

Chili is such a great food to take along, especially in the fall weather. You can make it ahead of time and freeze it. You can make it vegetarian or with meat.

Guacamole Dip goes so well with chili. A snap to make—be sure to pack the chips.

Fruit kabobs- sweet and refreshing

Fruit Kabobs are cute and refreshing. Your kids or guests can help make them.   Use red and green grapes, pineapple chunks, strawberries, cantaloupes and/or kiwis.

Snacks:  Going to an afternoon school activity or afternoon meeting? Only need a quick eat? These healthy suggestions will hold you until dinner.

 

Mini pizzas: Spread sphagetti sauce and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on an English muffin or small tortillas. Bake at 400 for 5 minutes or until cheese has melted. 

Sandwiches or wraps: Try a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or a wrap with humus, avocado, tomato slice and lettuce.
