Maple Cranberry Sauce
8 ounces fresh cranberries
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup apple juice
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/4 teaspoon all spice
1 teaspoon all spice
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon orange zest
Add all ingredients to a pot. Bring to a boil, the reduce heat and cover, simmering for 15 minutes.
Cool and serve or refrigerate for up to 4 days or freeze in a freezer bag for up to 3 months.
Try some other sweeteners: brown sugar, white sugar, honey, agave syrup, Stevia.
Add some elegance: Add 1-2 tablespoons Grand Marnier in place of apple juice.
